Roger Corman produced this very successful "women in prison" movie. It
stars, Judy Brown, Pam Grier, Pat Woodell, Roberta Collins, Brooke Mills,
Christiane Schmidtmer, Katheryn Loder, and Sid Haig. Jack Hill directs.
"The Big Doll House" (1971) centers on the pretty women being held at a
corrupt prison in the Philippines. The inmates wear tight mini-dresses and
are guarded by females in miniskirt uniforms! The climax comes when the
women make a prison break. Sid Haig is the hilarious prison fruit vendor ,
forced to help the women escape. The busty Pam Grier does not even make it
out of her cell before her very attractive, drug deprived, submissive female
sex partner (Brooke Mills) stabs her dead, in her neck! Brooke Mills later
runs after the escaping truck, but gets two fatal bullets in her back, by a
guard! A pretty Filipina inmate, jumps from the truck to get her cat, and is
machine gunned to death! As the gun battle continues, several female guards
are shot down! The rest of the inmates make good their escape, only to have
their captors catch up to them the next day. In a very dramatic scene, one
of the inmates (Pat Woodell), a gorgeous long-haired brunette and courageous
freedom fighter, picks up 2 machine guns at the same time, and starts
pulverizing the enemy! Being greatly outnumbered, they finally get the best
of our lovely heroine , and she drops dead. The sexy blonde inmate (Roberta
Collins) is wounded. The wicked wardress (Schmidtmer) is destroyed, along
with one of her female guards, in a gasoline explosion. The evil "captain of
the guards" (Loder) is killed (off screen) by one of her own poisonous
snakes, but they show her body later.
This sexy action movie contains electro breast torture, topless whippings,
the erotic heterosexual rape of a man, stabbings, and shootings galore! It's
widely believed to be the best "W.I.P." movie to date! Rightly so, too!
