"Play Dead" is a fun pun on the female death fetish video underground industry from... "W.A.V.E. Productions".
SYNOPSIS:
Dawn Murphy and Debbie D star as two ex-hookers, Paula and Debbie, who are now actresses appearing in
"fantasy murder movies" for the home video market. Jack Tillman (GW Lawrence) is the owner of Play Dead, Inc.,
a video production company producing these tapes.
But Jack is in debt to his bookies for $50,000 and the only way to raise the money and to save his own life,
is to produce a "real snuff" movie with Paula and Debbie as the "stars".
Will Jack succumb to the pressure after an innocent actress is "accidentally" killed on the set?
Also starring Barbara Joyce, Dean Paul, Michelle Caporaletti, Kassie Karr, and Tina Krause.

This is Play Dead's 10 anniversary and it is now on DVD.
With a death scene count of 12, "Play Dead" is one of the best value productions to come out of W.A.V.E.!!!
Most of the scenes are shootings, some stabbings an arrow scene and a great strangle scene. (Tina Krause)
For hand gun fans... Dawn and Barbra do really good shooting scenes (Dawn does two) both doing great acting
with their reactions and just the right amount of melodramatics making the scenes well worth the price of the DVD.
Tina Krause does a great protracted strangle scene with all the right elements... great struggling, arched back,
great facial expressions and death pose!!!
The DVD version has been re-edited and is visually better then the original VHS.
This title is packed with a lot of good death scenes and deservingly...............
